Tentative Skiing Tours Program

 

Day 01: Arrive at Auli Skiing center, Rest & acclimatize in Auli (2450 m)
Pick up in the morning ,drive to Auli, relax in hotel / guest house. Arrive at Auli Snow School Camp.  Dinner and Introduce with Skiing Team and Instructor. Stay up here

 

Day 02: Beginning of Skiing Day :
Skies allotment and later first day at white powder ski training at Auli Slopes.
On this day, you slide, slip, fall, bump into trees but end up having a lot of fun. The slopes are warmed by excited cries and laughter of entrants. Post your session, have a sumptuous meal at the Guest house followed by some rest & a short session to stand and balance on the skis and also apply brakes on your own. Evenings are free to build your snow mans & have snow-ball fights.

 

Day 03: Skiing Improvement day Session:
Day to give more focus on body part stable position, some short technical how to make parallel turn beside this snow plow.   Moving from gentle slope to Course II level. Make Perfect lesson to comfort slide with your parallel turns and snow plough turns.  

 

Day 04 -->  Safety technical, first aid lesson and finally one touch one move scroll technical based on strange part of ski course.  B/L/D

 

Day 05 --> Day free for free Style Ski with safety and secure run .  B/L/D

 

Day 06: Cable car ride followed by journey back home.
Auli also boasts of Asia's longest - 4 km - cable car (Gondola). It also has a Chair Lift and a Ski-Lift. Take your ride in the cable car to have an experience of a lifetime. Views of high Himalayan peaks like Mana, Kamet and tallest of all Nanda Devi.

 

The ride is functional from 0900 HRS to 1700 HRS. The ride is ideally for an hour (to and fro). Drive to Haridwar / Dehradun / Rishikesh. The memorable adventure comes to an end here.

Tentative Tours Programs For Level Skiing 1 ---> Auli to Auli

 

Day 01: Registration and check in ski school Auli. Course briefing and introduction of instructors. Issue and introduction of ski equipment. Learn to walk and getting up on skies, balancing and sliding.
Day 02: Demonstration and practice downhill movement, sidestepping, traversing and learn snow plough techniques & practice.
Day 03: Revision of snow plough & practice. Introduction of snow plough turn, edges and practice.
Day 04: Practice snow plough turns, edge control and body stretching movements.
Day 05: Introduction of stem turn. Demonstration and practice of stem turn on longer slopes.
Day 06: Breakfast Closing ceremony.

Level 2/3 Ski Training - Only for Those who have already did Basic Course + A Grade Training Camp
Location - Auli
Instructor - International Skiing Instructor will trained and take classes
Number of Students - 15 in one Batch

Perfect course if you already have a Level 2 Ski Qualification. Train in Queenstown, for the month of August. Options to just train and improve your technical skiing, or to train and go for your Level 3.

Day 1 --> Arrive at Auli Snow Ski & Snowboard School.  Dinner and Introduce with Skiing Team and Instructor. Stay up here.
Day 2 --> According to Grade system the Team will be divided and first day check in and checkout of ALST will be given.  Later Selected Skier will be in group A B C D and according to this the training camp will start. Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner.
Day 3 to 5 -->  Advance Skiing Course Ski training.  B/L/D
Day 6 -->  Uses of Ski lift. You will be given 1 run of chair car + 5 runs of Ski lift for first experience how to use lift.  B/L/D
Day 7 to 8 -->  Technical points  of how to improve the ski and Review of Progress and achievements.   B/L/D
Day 9 --> Full Half day Catch your Breath. B/L/D

Participants are required to bring heavy woollen clothings, cap (balaclave & P-Cap), socks woollen (min four pairs), dark sun glasses, gloves (woollen & leather), mufflers, pullovers, long john, wind proof jacket & trousers, anti sun-burn cream, gum/snow boots, torch with spare batteries, personal medicines & toiletries.

We have reserves the right to decline, or accept, any individual as a trip member for any reason whatsoever.

 

The cancellation charges are as under:

Cancellations prior to 24 days from the start of the trek	:-	95% refund.
Cancellation between 24 days and 14 days to the start of the trek	:-	70% refund.
Cancellation between 14 days and 10 days to the start of the trek	:-	50% refund.
Cancellation less than 10 days to the start of the trek	:-	no refund

 

 FAQs:

Q) Programme: Is skiing safe?

A) Yes, skiing is a very safe sport as the soft snow prevents any injury. One has to learn the basics right and increase speed as one hones in the skills. Basic slopes are best suited for beginners.

Q) How many people go in each group?

A) Normally we take 18-22 people in one batch including male and female. We need minimum 12 people to run a programme departure but for the customized trip group size doesn’t matter.

Q) Do you rent skis?

A) Yes, complete sets of ski gear: skis, boots, and poles will be rented to you and the cost is included in the fee. However all personal items / clothing must be brought by you.

Q) What will happen if I am injured?

A) After you are rescued, you will be taken to the Joshimath hospital first. Depending on the severity of your injuries, we may determine that you must travel down to the Deharadun hospital immediately via ambulance for further assessment and treatment. If you require one of our team members to accompany you to the Deharadun hospital, you will be charged an additional fee.
