The 6 days skiing program offers exciting skiing opportunities to both beginners as well as professional skiers It’s winter and skiers are gearing up for the Auli Snow Skiing Program. The sheer height and spread of the snow clad mountains, with the added advantage of powdered snow fascinate the beginners as well as professional skiers. We organizes ski courses for beginners for 7/10 & 14 days in Auli, which is 16 Kms. from Auli. These courses are organized under the professional guidance of qualified instructors from January to March every year. Lodging and boarding is provided in a guest house / snow ski school Auli with a facility of attached toilets and heating system. The full equipment is provided by us including the ski gears. After the basic course of 07 days you will be able to ski down from a gentle slope. Ski lift facility is also provided on request.

Elementary Basic Ski Course Schedule

7 Days Skiing Course at Auli

Day 01: Registration and check in ski school Auli. Course briefing and introduction of instructors. Issue and introduction of ski equipment. Learn to walk and getting up on skies, balancing and sliding.
Day 02: Demonstration and practice downhill movement, sidestepping, traversing and learn snow plough techniques & practise.
Day 03: Revision of snow plough & practise. Introduction of snow plough turn, edges and practise.

Learning new skiing techniques
Skiing lessons would begin early in the morning. Right from balancing on skis to slow speed, short ski runs to snow plow technique – you will be taught a number of basic skills required for skiing.
Day 04: Practice snow plough turns, edge control and body stretching movements.
Day 05: Introduction of stem turn. Demonstration and practise of stem turn on longer slopes.

Skiing techniques
Today you will be doing parallel ski runs on the slope and practice all the techniques you have learned in the past few days.
Day 06: Demonstration of using ski poles on stem turn and practise.
Day 07: Free skiing till lunch. Closing ceremony and distribution of certificates.

Trainees will be shown videos of skiing and given talks on skiing history, care and maintenance.

Inclusions:
Accommodation: In ski lodge / ski school on sharing basis with attached bath.

Exclusions:
Transportation to the ski lodge and back (we will assist in making arrangements)
Snow goggles, gloves and personal use clothing & equipment.

Jacket and trousers (Skiing cloths can be rent at 700 rupees at our Auli Ski Shop).

Training will be progressive and max use of good weather will be made to improve standards.
